Fake Gold Detecting

Have you ever seen a phony gold detecting video?  Personally, I believe this video is a prime example how such phony gold detecting  videos on YouTube.

  Naturally, that's just my personal opinion, and I'm sure there's probably going to be some viewers here who disagree with me.

Obviously if we were there for the actual gold detecting, there would be no question  whether this video was real or not.

So, let me give you my reasons why I think this is a hundred percent fake.

My number one reason, is the gold nuggets that he supposedly finds,  do not really look like gold nuggets!  As a matter of fact, to me they look like somebody got some gold paint and painted some rocks!

My number two reason why I believe this video is phony, is the fact that when the prospector is handling that large gold painted rock,  it seems like  it is far lighter than what a real gold nugget that size would be!

My number three reason why I believe this  gold prospecting video phony,  is that  you never see the prospectors face!

My last reason for believing that this gold prospecting video is phony, is that if it was true I think the prospector would want to boast with showing what these nuggets individually and together actually wait on a gram scale.  But, obviously if you're just painted gold rocks one would be able to tell by the weight and the apparent size that it sure wasn't gold!

Okay, there you have my main reasons, do you have any others?  Also, for those of you reading this and believe that this is a real gold prospecting video,  I would sure like to read your comments on why you believe it's real.

This was considered the gateway to California, as it was one of the few natural spots where travelers could cross the otherwise very wide Colorado River.

Using a drone to assist in gold prospecting in California.

Using my Yuneec Typhoon Q 500 G model UAV with a GoPro Hero4 black edition camera shooting in 4K resolution! We are camped out in the southeastern corner of California right next to the open pit American Girl gold mine.

This drone has a range of approximately 2000 feet and with a antenna modifications some say it can go over a mile! But, FAA requires that it only be operated in the visual line of sight and also no higher than 400 feet.

By being able to see the terrain in real time that the drone is flying over this is really a big help when deciding on what areas to investigate for dry washing or gold metal detecting.

Arizona gold nugget detecting. Gold prospecting in Arizona. Just northwest of Quartzite AZ we are in a desert dry wash, where the gold metal detector gave a strong signal in the bedrock. 

After working for quite some time, the prospector could not locate the source of the signal. It could be an iron vien within one of the rocks, but then again, it could be a rich gold vein!

It could take a large steel wedge and sledge hammer to get at the source. For now, anyone with a good metal detector who happens to swing it over this bedrock, may be the one to get the answer to what is in there.

This gold prospecting equipment is made of 22 gauge sheet metal to cut cost and the leg system is a 1 piece tubing design ( emt ) without any welds to break with emt elbows mounted to the hopper.
The hopper has an adjustable flow gate and also has a 3 height (angle) adjustment. Bracing is in the right spots for strength and sheet metal is flanged for strength. The unit vibrates with a counter weight fan assembly with a double sealed bearing. Fan is 5″ diameter 8 blade. The riffle tray swings up for easy clean up and the riffles are bolted to the tray sides ( no welds).  When a gas leaf blower (not included) is hooked-up, it makes the recovery box shake (counter weight fan assembly) and the lighter materials to be ejected .

It has a 3″ OD hose adapter and a 3″ RV sewer hose fits nice (hose not included), Also the air flow passing through the Lexan riffle board creates an electrostatic charge which helps fine gold to cling to the riffle board cloth. The hopper is 23″x13″, the recovery box is 20″x8″. The whole unit stands about 46″ and weighs  22lbs. Unit folds small for EZ transport.
